How to Care for Your New Costmetic Tattoo
congratulations on your new brows!
please read this carefully and follow to achieve the best results
scabbing is bad! but seriously, this post care, if followed closely, will prevent scabbing. scabbing blurs strokes, ashes out brow color and cause patchiness. no one wants that. Lets get the best results.

Always wash your hands before applying balm.
day 1
you will leave your appointment with balm on your brows.
wipe your brows ever 2 hours
wipe your brows back and forth with a warm damp washcloth, and reapply balm (if your home has a water softener, use bottled water. the salt from the softener will turn your brows gray)
do not sleep on your sides for the first 14 days
if you do, you will wipe off the balm, your tails will form scabs, and you will lose the entire tail of your brow tattoo. use a travel neck pillow to prevent rolling on sides while sleeping.
days 2 - 14
things to do to ensure proper healing
never let the brows dry
wipe the tattooed area firmly back and forth to get under the hair every morning, noon, and night with a warm washcloth, pat the area dry and apply a layer of the balm backwards and forward to get under brow hair. apply the balm enough to always keep the area moisturized. never let the brows dry.
what to do on the go
when on the go, you can use water wipes (Walmart or target) or honest brand wipes. all other wipes use salt as a preservative and cannot be used.
what to expect
during the initial healing period, there should be no scabbing or flaking of the skin. if there is some scabbing or flaking, do not pick, and allow the scab or dry skin to come off on its own. scabbing only occurs when wiping and balm schedule have not been strictly kept to
the complete healing process takes about 6 weeks. during this process, your tattoo could fade dramatically. the true color will show up at 5 weeks. be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost - we can make them darker and more defined at your touch up.
do not expect your dream eyebrows until after your touch up. Brows are only half done after 1st appointment.
what to do
avoid getting your brows wet when showering
take warm baths only. (hot baths will cause sweating)
what not to do
avoid getting any soaps, shampoos, or other cleaners on the treated area for 14 days
do not pick at any dry skin/flakiness. (picking will cause scarring and loss of pigment)
do not apply makeup to the tattooed area for the first 2 weeks
do not use Vaseline, Neosporin, or other petroleum based products while healing
do not apply any anti-acne products (benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, proactive, etc.)
do not apply any anti-aging products (retinol, lactic acid, glycolic acid, etc.) on the area ever. These products will fade and ash out the tattoo.
do not exercise or sweat for 2 weeks. (sweat will turn them gray)
no swimming pools, Jacuzzis, or other bodies of water for 2 weeks
